Outreach Projects

The Last Ocean Project has a single primary goal: to give the Ross Sea a voice. We will pursue this goal with a variety of outreach projects including a film, a book, an online library of multi-media science, exhibits and presentations, publications, a scientific conference, and, of course, this website. Our efforts are meant to bring the story to life, but the real voice will come from you.

If enough of us speak up, we may be able to write the next chapter in the management of this special place, as we bring our chorus of voices to bear on the political process.

We are aligned with several organizations, including SeaWeb, Pew Environmental Group, and Oikonos. We are also in the process of creating The Last Ocean Charitable Trust in New Zealand.
