The Ross Sea, Antarctica: Science, Policy and the Public in a Pristine Marine Ecosystem

We will be sponsoring a symposium at the 2009 International Marine Conservation Congress in Washington, DC in May. This symposium will bring top Antarctic scientists together to discuss the Ross Sea issues, and to collaborate on a document of “scientific consensus” on the value of the Ross Sea ecosystem. This document will be an important tool in pursuing protection in the Ross Sea.
